Costa Rica

Costa Rica is known for its natural parks. There, I found amazing sunsets, wonderful beaches and fantastic food. It is only 285 miles. It has a 96 percent literacy rate and where children can’t go to school, they learn from the radio station. Many spoke English here, and there were more international people and travelers that I had encountered other places in the world. The money used was the colon but also US dollar was accepted. The town I was in was Tamarindo, which had mostly dirt roads, and was a big surfing town. The flag is red, white and blue with a crest in the center, red portion. It was a fantastic country and I hope to explore the other areas someday. On a mangrove tour I saw iguanas, many birds, monkeys and land crabs.
