Last day in Santiago

For breakfast I had the local special. My favorite. It made the breakfast ladies so happy. I had mangu, fried cheese, fried egg, pickled onion, juice and coffee.

For my last day in Santiago, I went to the shopping mall, Colinas Mall. I took the Uber there and walked all around. The most terrifying part was the non-working escalator. The rails in Santiago, I don’t know if people are shorter, but they went to my mid hip. I could have toppled right over. So, I went up to the 4th floor, but the escallator wasn’t working, so I walked right down. Terrifying. There were parts of the mall in disrepair — they didn’t even give a rip. I had a beer at the food court. I had some interesting tacos that were almost sweet. Both the tacos and sushi were interesting in Dominican Republic. I took the Uber downtown and wanted to go to this restaurant called Ahi with outdoor seating, but it didn’t open until 4 p.m. and it was almost 2. So I walked around downtown — my favorite thing to do. It was Pokemon community day, so I walked around catching my Pokemon. I went back to the hotel, walked to dinner at Cubana Grill and then planned to leave in the morning. At dinner I had the Cuban meatballs again, fried goat cheese balls and sangria to drink. For dessert I had majarete, which was cornmeal and coconut milk and some sugar. It was amazing.
