My birthday - in Santiago

I decided this year that I needed to take a big trip for my birthday every year. It was the best. To start the day I went to breakfast at the hotel, La Palmetto. This day I went to the art museum, Centro Leon which was amazing and so neat. There were so many artists, an outdoor bird sanctuary and even an natural history exhibit. I loved it. After that I tried to go to the fort but it was closed that day. So I asked my Uber driver, “Donde es muy bien restaurante?” so he took me to the best restaurant in town, Noah. While there I had a delicious seafood soup, a delicious cocktail and the best fruit salad with a passion fruit dressing. My friend Janis Brevik told me to always tell the restaurant or establishment it is your birthday, so I did in my halting Spanish, although the one English speaker was my waiter. The waiter was like, did I hear you correctly? Let me tell the others. It was the best birthday song. After that I walked around the Los Pequines district which is known for beautiful murals. I was supposed to have a tour but the tour got cancelled. I found a hole in the wall bar and had an El Presidente beer, of course. Then I went back to the hotel for a bit. For dinner I went to a restaurant called, Pork and Beer, which I found on Google from the US. I had 2 great beers, an amazing fried pork belly and a dessert which appeared to be some fruit preserved in almost a spicy sauce. It was so delicious. It was the best birthday.
