I did Lasiks

I thought it would be easier to be glasses and contacts free when I begin traveling the world. Before when I had glasses, I had all the things, astigmatism, progressives — but now I have 20/20 vision. The procedure itself was kind of insane — like I think the Matrix movie when they take out the person’s eye ball and swap with another person to pass the retina scan? It reminded me of that insanity during the procedure. But lucky I kept my same green eye balls :) But it only took a minute. First they give you optional drugs - I always take the drugs. Then they slice a slit in your eye. Then you move to another table where the lasar zaps you. And then you can see. Mostly. My eye was SUPER sensitive to light and just dripping with tears nonstop. My friend Alice drove me home, it was the middle of the day and SUNSHINE! And the whole time, I was like a little kid, are we there yet? Then I went to sleep, then the worst part was over. I could see. OMFG I could see! I threw away all my prescription glasses and sunglasses. I had to buy non-prescription sunglasses — I am still looking for cool ones. Then they told me if there was ANY problem in the eye — scratchy, dry, sore, you can’t see as well, ANYTHING — eye drops. I used to use them almost nonstop. Now I can go a longer period without them. I feel like my eyes don’t work as well when I first wake up — eye drops needed. I love what has happened with my vision and recommend Lasiks to anyone. I wish I had done it sooner, but there was the cost of it.
