Patio Planting

I’m all about my balcony garden. I now have successfully grown a tomato , that must be about 2 feet tall. I do not have a tomato cage, but I have a bamboo stick that came with my living Christmas tree, and some leftover rope twine holding it up. I had to bring it inside because we had a windy spell that blew it over one too many times. But I now have at least 6 little tomatoes on it. I grew the tomatoes from seeds from a real tomato at the grocery store. I have done the same for passion fruit and peppers. I have a few wild flowers growing and I am trying to do some berries and mint. I love them. Anytime I get a seed for something, I think, I could grow that. I am also saving all kinds of containers to use in my gardening. Even the Styrofoam containers, I noticed when I went to Cambodia, they used them for gardening, so now, so do I. China is big on lemon tea, so I got a lemon tea and it had these little seeds in it, so I just brought it home and put some dirt in. We’ll see what happens. I do have a mushroom compost bin going but I’m not sure it’s having success. I may need to deposit the slop into the bottom of a pot and plant over it and start again. I use the compost tea though to water my plants, maybe that’s why my tomato is so epic.
