I ate a bug and a snail

At the Sisowath Quay Boardwalk, a street vendor gave me a grub. I had seen similar ones in my garden in Tacoma and Olympia, Washington, I never imagined I would be eating one. But my friend Jenni, offered to video it if I would eat one, so of course, I did. The bug was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was not good but didn’t really taste like anything specific. It was strange to later say that I was picking pieces of bug out of my teeth. Another day at the Boeng Kang Keng (BKK) market, my friend Kimberly took a video of me trying a freshwater snail. Taking it out of the shell was so crazy because it was as big as a banana slug. And it was everything you would imagine from eating a slug. It was very crunchy and so chewy, but it didn’t really taste like anything other than the sauce it was in.
