My month of being a vagabond

I am currently homeless and just traveling. It’s wonderful! First stop, Jamaica. I am here for 8 days. So far I had a delicious vegetarian dinner on bulgur, some Jamaican beer, water crackers, ginger cookies and raisin chocolate. I’ve been to a local grocery, a local restaurant called Prapa Spice and have already been to two of the areas they say tourists should not go to, (ha ha) Flankers and Norwood — although I was with a local. I think I will be a few days in Montego Bay, called Mobo by the locals, and then a few days at Negril Beach. I’m in a local style bed and breakfast, which is outside of the tourist area, and with the locals, almost part of the family, but that’s how I like to travel anyway. I am going to attempt to walk Mobo tomorrow, which is one of my favorite things— walking and exploring the city. I’m still figuring out the parameters of that walk and tips for tourists. I already know I stick out like a sore thumb, so I’m past fitting in, but hopefully I can try some yummy food and maybe even take a dip in the ocean.

Edit: today, July 1, I got some laundry soap and washed some of my clothes in the sink. They dry pretty good overnight.
