How we pay in China

In China we use 2 main apps — Alipay and Wechat. Wechat also has a chat function, and this is how all business goes down in China. It is all about, I know this guy/gal and they do ___. So you start texting that person and get your business done. There is a person that sells bras, another person mattresses, another hair products, another water delivery, almost anything happens here. I have a person who cuts my hair, a Russian guy who comes to my apartment. I pay him through a QR code he shows me. Then there are other apps. There is one called Meiutan where you can get food delivery. It’s all in Chinese so it takes a little bit to translate. On Wechat there is a translate function where you can translate almost anything into your language. I don’t know what happens if the internet goes down but this has never happened for the app, so I don’t know.
