How I choose my hotels

lt’s all about breakfast, really. Since I stayed in Santiago, Dominican Republic, I not only had amazing local breakfast, but I also walked everywhere. Since, it’s my favorite way to travel. So I usually these days, make a flight. Then I come back later and browse hotels. Internationally, I prefer them to cost less than a $100. I like them to be small and kind of quirky and ideally with a pool or even better, a spa. But the main thing I look for is their breakfast. I change my search to include breakfast, and then I look through the pictures to see what they have, is it local and does it look yummy. Then I make my selection. If they just have a restaurant on site, that isn’t always a go. But I have had amazing breakfasts in Jamaica, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Cambodia, China, Dominican Republic and so many more to come. What fun.
